Mercy Brown Bag at Aging Unbound!

This week we gratefully participated at the Aging Unbound event put on by the City of Oakland at City Hall for Older Americans Month!

We advocated for our mission with the community and met up with some of our current recipients. We shared space with so many other amazing organizations serving Oakland older adults, many of whom are our collaborators in service. It was a wonderful day of community, advocacy and activity. This annual event had been cancelled over the last few years during the height of the pandemic and to finally renew the celebration was a big lift to all our spirits!

A banner for Older Americans Month and Aging Unbound is displayed outside, decorated with blue balloon columns shaped like “O” and “A,” plus logos for the City of Oakland, Human Services Department, and Mercy Brown Bag.
