How it Works

Every dollar you raise helps us provide free, nutritious groceries to thousands of older adults in need of food in Alameda County.

A group of elderly people stand in line outdoors, some using walkers and carts, as they receive food or supplies from a distribution truck.

Getting Started is Easy:

Choose how you want to motivate your friends, neighbors, teammates, and colleagues. You might choose a birthday fundraiser, workplace challenge, team-building event, or a holiday benefit.

  2. Set a dollar goal and an end date for your fundraiser.
  3. Contact us to create a donation link.
  4. Send our donation link to your group with a message about why Mercy Brown Bag’s work matters to you and information about Mercy Brown Bag from our Fundraiser Toolkit.
  5. Send updates to your friends about how much you’ve raised to motivate those who haven’t donated yet.
  6. We’ll let you know how much you’ve raised on your end date, and all donors will receive a tax receipt with our thanks.
